What is Reiki?
Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.
Reiki is based on the principle that an unseen ‘life force energy’ flows through each of us, and is what keeps us alive.
The Usui Reiki system was ‘remembered’ and systemized in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui & Chujiro Hayashi. This "‘Laying of hands” healing methods have been with humanity for thousands of years - and forgotten. Through Usui’s dedication to the re-discovery of a universal healing method accessible to all, Dr. Usui received this information from the Universe in the late 1800s.
When one's "life force energy" or Qi is low, one is more likely to get sick or feel stressed. But, if it is high, one is more capable of feeling joyous and experience optimal health. Reiki has been effective in helping an array of illnesses and maladies. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Because of the reasons above, being certified in using Reiki is tremendously beneficial for medical and therapeutic professionals, yoga and movement teachers, parents, and/or anyone whose work is to care for others.

We aim to decolonize energy healing practice, in all of the ways by:
Teaching culturally relevant historical analysis
Investigating the spiritual tradition of Japan to understand Usui Reiki
Sharing how we can be in the practice of decolonization when working in the field of energy healing and spirituality
Focus on the need for practitioner development, instead of relying only on the process of attunement
Offer an equity-focused teaching style, creating a safer container for deeper healing & learning
In this certification course taught by Aki Hirata Baker & Manu Del Prete, you will learn not only the official written version of the history of reiki but also look at the historical context and analytical lens to examine that which is often not seen. In a world where we are asked to be more integral to reach our authentic self, we aim to equip our students with information that is as decolonized as possible to make deeper healing possible for all.
For this certification to be truly decolonized, we collaborate to understand the true nature of energy and our capacity to perceive that reality. You will be offered a new way to see reality from a more expanded space instead of the binary model we have been taught for a long time, using both the mythological, western & Indigenous scientific language.
In addition to receiving instruction and attunement from two experienced RMT, the Course also includes an original Reiki manual and 6 months of email support by the instructors if needed. Students are also encouraged to learn and grow with their cohort through their own community-building effort.

Our Reiki Certification Courses are co-taught by Manu Del Prete and Aki Hirata- Baker using Twin Attuning Method.
You will have a unique opportunity to learn from two masters who work together to bring various aspects of Reiki to life - you will leave feeling empowered and excited about your ability! Twin Attuning Method was discovered during the course of the two masters working together; the energy of the two masters are intertwined during the attunement to create a deep and powerful shift of the energy bodies.

REIKI FOR SELF & FAMILY CARE - REIKI 1
In this class, you will learn the history and basic principles of Reiki, as well as basic energy channel systems in our bodies. This class also includes Reiki attunement, which turns on your ability to use Reiki, and will have time to practice hand positions to be used for others. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and learn from the experiences of two Master teachers. There is no pre-requisite for this class, except for the desire to heal yourself and others around you. ($300).

REIKI PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION - REIKI 2
You will deepen your connection to your Reiki energy in Reiki 2 class. You will receive second Reiki attunement, learn three Usui Reiki symbols (the power symbol, the mental/emotional symbol, and the distance symbol) and how to use them, and also learn how to send distant Reiki. There will be a short discussion on the relationship between time, space, and energy to understand why distant reiki works. You are required to have Reiki 1 Certification to join this class, and this Certification will give you the ability to work as a reiki practitioner.
Certification is given after the completion of the class, hands-on practice session, and submission of 2 case studies, one for in-person session and one for a distance session. ($300).

Manu & Aki were given a new Reiki symbol with a specific mission: this new symbol is given to humanity as part of the tools for people to cope and work with the energy of the earth’s ascension. This information was given to humanity from the counsel of Ascended Reiki Masters; they have revealed that the practice of Reiki is ancient, older than anyone could record. The information revealed to Master Usui was a partial remembrance of what humanity once practiced, and there are many more Reiki symbols available for humanity in the future when our mind, body, and spirit will be ready.
